Royal Indian Trains and our associate company Lawrence Travels have been closely associated with the marketing & sales of Deccan Odyssey Indian luxury trains since its inception.

At present, we are the officially appointed General Sales Agent under a three-year agreement (till 2026).

Three of our staff members personally traveled on these trains in 2025 and can share their first-hand journey experience.

The tour & travel firm soon expanded into Pan-India operations, international trips, movie shoots, and company offsites.

It’s first official luxury train tour was for Palace on Wheels in 1996.

Royal Indian Trains officially became an offshoot last decade.

And now the company is hyper focused on Indian Luxury Trains & high-end experiences for foreigners touring India & it’s neighbouring countries.

We are recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of Indi; and a member of the Inbound Association of Tour Operators (IATO). Royal Indian Trains is also member of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI).

Our Managing Director has received multiple awards in the travel field, including Outstanding Contribution to the Growth of Domestic Tourism by the Ministry of Tourism.

The Deccan Odyssey train is currently managed (on a long lease agreement) by Ebix Cash (Under its India unit known as The Rail Journeys. The luxury train was launched by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation,
