Day-Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday – Depart Mumbai

• Assemble at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus by 1600 hrs for traditional welcome and check-in
• Board the Deccan Odyssey and settle into your cabin
• Train departs for Aurangabad
• Dinner on board

Day 2: Sunday – Ellora Caves & Daulatabad Fort

• Early breakfast on board
• Visit UNESCO-listed Ellora Caves: 34 rock-cut temples dedicated to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. (Dateable from 6th Century A.D.)
• Return to train for lunch on board
• Afternoon visit to the 12th-century Daulatabad Fort
• Evening cultural program and dinner at a city hotel
• Return to Deccan Odyssey for overnight stay at Aurangabad Station

Day 3: Monday – Aurangabad Sightseeing

• Relaxed breakfast on board
• Morining excursion to Bibi-ka-Maqbara – the “Taj of the Deccan”
• Explore a Himroo weaving center – famed for its royal textiles
• Return to train for lunch and depart for Ramtek

Day 4: Tuesday – Pench Tiger Reserve

• Early morning drive (approx. 45 mins) to Pench Tiger Reserve
• Morning safari: Spot tigers, deer, wild dogs, and over 280 bird species
• Explore a Himroo weaving center – famed for its royal textiles
• Afternoon jungle safari in Pench
• Return to Deccan Odyssey at Ramtek for dinner on board
• Train departs for Warora

Day 5: Wednesday – Tadoba Tiger Reserve

• Early morning drive (approx. 1 hour) to Tadoba Tiger Reserve
• Morning game safari in one of India’s top tiger reserves
• Late breakfast at a wildlife lodge
• Return to train at Warora Station for lunch on board
• Train departs for Pachora

Day 6: Thursday – Ajanta Caves

• Excursion to Ajanta Caves (approx. 90 mins drive) – Buddhist murals & sculptures from 2nd Century BC

• Leisure walk along River Godavari Ghats – witness Hindu rituals

• Return to train and depart for Mumbai

Train Tour Cost Includes

• Overnight travel onboard train in the comfort of richly furnished private A/C sleeping chambers with ensuite bathrooms.
• Daily three meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) with packaged drinking water, tea/coffee service & non-alcoholic beverages.

• Entrance fees For monuments & jungle reserves.
• Deluxe Cabin Guests: City sightseeing tours are conducted in air-conditioned buses with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).
• Presidential Suite Guests: City sightseeing tours are arranged in private air-conditioned cars with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).

Exclusions (Extra costs not included in train tour tariff)

• Govt. taxes & insurance.
• Optional use of spa facility or laundry services.
• Gratuities – Tips or porter fee.
• Video & professional still camera fees.
• Any activity mentioned as optional in the tour journey.
• Air tickets.
• Travel/Tour insurance.
• Transfer to & from the railway station on start & end of itinerary.

Booking Procedure

• Check Availability: Provide the date of journey and cabin type required.
• Booking Process: Submit passport copies of all passengers.
• Payment Terms:
  • A 30% advance deposit of the published ticket price is required to confirm the booking.
  • Payment can be made via bank transfer credit or debit card..
  • The balance payment must be received at least 70 days before departure.
  • For bookings made less than 70 days before departure date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Cancellation Rules

• Minimum 15% cancellation fee on the published ticket value inclusive of taxes (and not on the discounted rate offered) if the cancellation request is received more than 62 days prior to the tour departure.
• Minimum 25% cancellation fee on the published ticket value (inclusive of taxes) if the cancellation request is received between 47 to 61 days prior to the tour departure.
• Minimum 55% cancellation fee on the published ticket value (inclusive of taxes) if the cancellation request is received between 32 to 46 days prior to the tour departure.
• No refund is permitted if the cancellation request is received less than 32 days prior to the tour departure.
• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by us.
• If the Train Tour Operator cancels the scheduled departure for any reason, a full refund will be provided.
• No refund will be issued if the guest fails to follow the scheduled itinerary, shortens their journey, or is unable to obtain an Indian visa.
• In case of a medical emergency, supporting medical records will be reviewed by the Train Management, and their decision will be final.
• If a refund is applicable, Royal Indian Trains reserves the right to deduct USD 100 per person as bank processing fees.
• Refunds will be processed based on the Indian Rupees exchange value received at the time of payment.

Important

• The scheduled train tour departure is subject to a minimum booking of 25 passengers.
• All foreign passport holders must obtain an Indian visa before boarding their flight from their country of residence.
• Guests are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance in their home country prior to departure.
• Any disputes, if arising, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in NCR Delhi (Gurgaon), India.
