Day-Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday – Depart Mumbai

• Assemble at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus by 1600 hrs for traditional welcome and check-in
• Board the Deccan Odyssey and settle into your cabin
• Train departs for Aurangabad
• Dinner on board

Day 2: Sunday – Ellora Caves & Daulatabad Fort

• Early breakfast on board
• Visit UNESCO-listed Ellora Caves: 34 rock-cut temples dedicated to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. (Dateable from 6th Century A.D.)
• Return to train for lunch on board
• Afternoon visit to the 12th-century Daulatabad Fort
• Evening cultural program and dinner at a city hotel
• Return to Deccan Odyssey for overnight stay at Aurangabad Station

Day 3: Monday – Aurangabad Sightseeing

• Relaxed breakfast on board
• Morining excursion to Bibi-ka-Maqbara – the “Taj of the Deccan”

Day 4: Tuesday – Pench Tiger Reserve

• Early morning drive (approx. 45 mins) to Pench Tiger Reserve
• Morning safari: Spot tigers, deer, wild dogs, and over 280 bird species
• Explore a Himroo weaving center – famed for its royal textiles
• Afternoon jungle safari in Pench
• Return to Deccan Odyssey at Ramtek for dinner on board
• Train departs for Warora

Day 5: Wednesday – Tadoba Tiger Reserve

• Early morning drive (approx. 1 hour) to Tadoba Tiger Reserve
• Morning game safari in one of India’s top tiger reserves

Train Tour Cost Includes

• Overnight travel onboard train in the comfort of richly furnished private A/C sleeping chambers with ensuite bathrooms.
• Daily three meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) with packaged drinking water, tea/coffee service & non-alcoholic beverages.

• Entrance fees For monuments & jungle reserves.
• Deluxe Cabin Guests: City sightseeing tours are conducted in air-conditioned buses with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).
• Presidential Suite Guests: City sightseeing tours are arranged in private air-conditioned cars with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).

Exclusions (Extra costs not included in train tour tariff)

• Govt. taxes & insurance.
• Optional use of spa facility or laundry services.
• Gratuities – Tips or porter fee.
• Video & professional still camera fees.
• Any activity mentioned as optional in the tour journey.
• Air tickets.
• Travel/Tour insurance.
• Transfer to & from the railway station on start & end of itinerary.

Booking Terms & Conditions

• The booking will be confirmed on the receipt of 30% advance deposit of published ticket value
• Balance 70% payment must reach us at least 70 days before the departure date with the reservation form
• In case booking request is made less than 70 days of the departure date, we will require a one-time full advance deposit to confirm booking.
• Prices are subject to vary in the event that the itinerary is altered or if there are additional costs, such as fuel or taxes
• Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is Jointly OPERATED by Tourism Department of Maharashtra State Govt & The Royal Journeys (A unit of Ebix Cash)
• Liability of Royal Indian Trains is limited to that of booking agent only

Booking Procedure

• Check Availability: Provide the date of journey and cabin type required.
• Booking Process: Submit passport copies of all passengers.
• Payment Terms:
  • A 30% advance deposit of the published ticket price is required to confirm the booking.
  • Payment can be made via bank transfer credit or debit card..
  • The balance payment must be received at least 70 days before departure.
  • For bookings made less than 70 days before departure date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Cancellation Rules

• The Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is operated through a joint collaboration between the Tourism Department of Maharashtra Government and Ebix Cash (Private Tour Operator).
• Royal Indian Trains acts solely as a booking agent and holds no operational liability.
• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by us.

Cancellation Fees

• More than 63 days before departure: 10% of the published ticket value (inclusive of taxes).
• 62 to 48 days before departure: 20% of the published ticket value.
• 47 to 33 days before departure: 50% of the published ticket value.
• Less than 33 days before departure: 100% of the published ticket value (inclusive of taxes).

Special Cancellation & Refund Conditions

• If the the Train Tour Operator cancels the scheduled departure for any reason, afull refundwill be provided
• No refund will be issued if:
  • The guest fails to follow the scheduled itinerary or shortens their journey.
  • The guest is unable to obtain an Indian visa.
• In case of a medical emergency, supporting medical records will be reviewed by the Train Management, and their decision will be final.
• If a refund is applicable, Royal Indian Trains reserves the right to deduct USD 100 per person as bank processing fees.
• Refunds will be processed based on the Indian Rupees exchange value received at the time of payment.

Important

• The scheduled train tour departure is subject to a minimum booking of 25 passengers.
• All foreign passport holders must obtain an Indian visa before boarding their flight from their country of residence.
• Guests are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance in their home country prior to departure.
• Any disputes, if arising, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in NCR Delhi (Gurgaon), India.
